Store Sales Representative - Towson, MD
This position grows sales at assigned Lowe's stores within the geographic territory through implementing sales/marketing programs, training activities, service, and merchandising responsibilities. The store count will range between 3-5 stores and will be based on geography and store volume. The Store Sales Representative will service the following areas: Lowe's Stores #691-White Marsh, MD, #720-Timonium, MD, #2589-Abingdon (Bel Air), MD, #2995-Parkville (Towson), MD, and #3388-Owings, MD.
Responsibilities
- Establish strong selling relationships with store associates, store management, and other district managers.
- Continually promote and represent the brand and product strengths to Lowe's associates, customers, and contractors, discerning competitive advantage and competitor’s weaknesses.
- Utilize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to document sales calls and store visits.
- Gather and document competitor intelligence information in the CRM.
- Conduct contractor events to promote products and increase sales.
- Ensure promotions, pricing, and signage are set appropriately in each store.
- Prepare Annual Growth Plan (AGP) for assigned stores in territory that meet or exceed sales and profit goals.
- Conduct various trainings including product knowledge, sales training, promotional display training, and equipment training for current and newly hired Lowe's associates. Products include Valspar, HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams, Purdy, Minwax, Cabot, Thompson’s Waterseal, White Lightning, DIY Paint, and Contractor Paint.
- Assist store associates with tinting/mixing paint as needed.
- Review all Sherwin Williams products in the department, ensuring products are fully stocked and properly displayed.
- Make sales calls, as requested by Lowe’s, to residential re-painters, remodelers, property maintenance managers, and local home builders (approximately 10% of weekly time) to increase pro-paint sales.
- Conduct Profit and Loss review and management, including expense management, mistint expense tracking, collateral expenses, and travel and entertainment.
- Travel within assigned region, including overnight travel, up to 50% of the time.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid unrestricted driver’s license.
- Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales.
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing to travel as required for this position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred).
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish (preferred).
- At least three (3) years of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales (preferred).
- Working experience with Profit and Loss/Budget Management (preferred).
- Previous working experience in selling paint and paint-related products (preferred).
