Store Sales Representative - Kansas City N, MO
This position grows sales at assigned Lowe's stores within the geographic territory through implementing sales/marketing programs, training activities, service, and merchandising responsibilities. The Store Sales Representative will service 3-5 stores based on geography and store volume, effectively manage customer relationships, store appearance, and respond to business needs promptly.
The territory includes the following areas:
- Lowe's Store #305 - St. Joseph, MO
- Lowe's Store #1078 - North Kansas City, MO
- Lowe's Store #1559 - Salina, KS
- Lowe's Store #1565 - Liberty, MO
Responsibilities
- Establish strong selling relationships with store associates, store management, and other district managers.
- Promote and represent the brand and product strengths to Lowe's associates and customers/contractors, highlighting competitive advantages and competitor weaknesses.
- Utilize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to document sales calls and store visits.
- Gather and document competitor intelligence information in the CRM.
- Conduct contractor events to promote products and increase sales.
- Ensure promotions, pricing, and signage are set appropriately in each store.
- Prepare an Annual Growth Plan (AGP) for assigned stores to meet or exceed sales and profit goals.
- Conduct various trainings, including product knowledge, sales training, promotional display training, and equipment training for current and newly hired Lowe's associates. Products include Valspar, HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams, Purdy, Minwax, Cabot, Thompson’s Waterseal, White Lightning, DIY Paint, and Contractor Paint.
- Assist store associates with tinting/mixing paint as needed.
- Review all Sherwin Williams products in the department, ensuring they are fully stocked and properly displayed.
- Make sales calls to residential re-painters, remodelers, property maintenance managers, and local home builders (approximately 10% of weekly time) to increase pro-paint sales.
- Conduct Profit and Loss reviews, including expense management, mistint expense tracking, collateral expenses, and travel and entertainment.
- Travel within the assigned region, including overnight travel, up to 50% of the time.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for an employment work visa now or in the future.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid unrestricted driver’s license.
- Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales.
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing to travel as required for this position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred).
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish (preferred).
- At least three (3) years of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales (preferred).
- Working experience with Profit and Loss/Budget Management (preferred).
- Previous working experience in selling paint and paint-related products (preferred).
