Store Sales Associate

About the role

Responsibilities

• Process freight and assist with price changes/markdowns
• Balance register according to company policy
• Call out prices for customers during transactions
• Bag merchandise efficiently and handle all cash, checks, and credit cards correctly per company policy
• Obtain management approval for returns, voids, and checks when needed
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, adhering to fitting room policies, and processing transactions promptly
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional, neat appearance while wearing a name tag
• Assist management with merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels and other assigned tasks
• Explain exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Support Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting theft or dishonesty, and following operational policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages)
