Store Sales Associate

About the Role

The Sales Associate plays a critical role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction through product knowledge and engagement. This position requires a proactive individual who demonstrates integrity, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic retail environment. The Sales Associate contributes to a positive work culture, supports change management, and assists in loss prevention efforts.

Responsibilities

• Process freight and assist with price changes/markdowns.
• Balance registers according to company policy and handle all cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, assisting with fitting room policies, and completing transactions efficiently.
• Maintain a professional appearance, including wearing a name tag, and adhere to all safety procedures.
• Assist management in merchandising the sales floor based on stock levels and explain exchange/refund policies to customers.
• Support loss prevention by reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty and following operational policies.
• Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages).

Physical Requirements

• Frequent to continuous squatting, kneeling, stooping, standing, bending, and walking.
• Occasional to frequent twisting, reaching above shoulder level, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent to continuous use of hands for manual dexterity and grasping.
