Responsibilities
- Affords assistance in merchandising functions of the Gallery Shop/Art Lending Services, encompassing responsibilities for inventory, accounting functions, and office procedures.
- Orders and maintains an inventory of merchandise.
- Ensures accuracy of quantities and quality of merchandise.
- Establishes a supply storage inventory.
- Supervises and schedules student and part-time workers.
- Maintains time sheets and related records.
- Schedules volunteer coordinators and ensures adequate coverage of attendants at admissions machine.
- Develops and maintains volunteer training manual and participates in the training of volunteers.
- Authorizes payment of approved invoices to vendors and artists through the University Accounting Department.
- Prepares timely and accurate reports and maintains necessary records.
- Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with members of the Gallery staff, other University personnel, and the general public.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
