About the role

Join a prominent owner-side organization within the retail sector that is shaping the physical landscape of retail. As a pivotal force, you will directly influence the physical presence of a major national brand by leading the end-to-end planning and design of high-volume retail stores. Your role will ensure every new or updated location perfectly embodies the brand’s vision and operational excellence, adapting standard layouts to diverse site conditions while maintaining stringent corporate standards and resolving complex design challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive store design and planning processes, overseeing projects from initial scoping through to construction issue resolution.
  • Create, refine, and maintain detailed architectural layouts, precise fixture plans, and complete drawing packages.
  • Update and adapt standard store layouts to accommodate specific site conditions and evolving project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of external consultant drawing sets, ensuring high quality, completeness, and strict adherence to corporate brand standards.
  • Execute precise markups, revisions, and document coordination utilizing Bluebeam Revu.
  • Collaborate effectively with a matrixed internal team, including architecture, engineering, and environmental design specialists, as well as external partners, to efficiently resolve design challenges.
  • Track and integrate feedback, comments, and redlines under tight, deadline-driven timelines.
  • Actively participate in virtual team environments, including on-camera engagement during Microsoft Teams meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in retail store planning, corporate rollouts, or interior planning.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on professional experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects and consistently applying replication standards across a high volume of sites.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage shifting priorities seamlessly.
  • Deep familiarity with construction documents, fixture planning, and consultant coordination workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
