Store Operations Associate

Responsibilities

  • Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a standout customer experience.
  • Interact face to face with customers, providing excellent service, and building rapport.
  • Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
  • Walk the property to perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
  • Renting self-storage units, selling store merchandise, managing the leasing process, accepting payments utilizing our Point-of-Sale System (POS), completing daily bank deposits, and making courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
  • Maintain the physical aspects of the property, including:
    • Daily walks of the property
    • Cleaning the units and the store grounds
    • Opening and closing of the storage doors (up to 50 lbs.)
    • Mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and similar activities
    • Maintaining the facility to ensure conditions meet company guidelines (clean restrooms, neat landscaping and parking areas, storage doors that are clean and tidy, and neat decluttered office space)

Qualifications

  • A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
  • Experience in delivering high quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
  • A self-driven mindset with strong operational focus.
  • Basic computer skills including MS office products.
  • The ability to work Saturdays.
  • Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date insurance are required.
  • Frequent requirement to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb or balance on a ladder.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
  • Some locations may require Sunday hours.
