STORE OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

Hourly, entry-level position supporting daily operations of a Bassett Home Furnishings retail location to meet financial goals, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and maintain operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist design consultants with order entry, cash management, and financing applications.
• Order parts for customers (e.g., arm caps, table legs, hardware).
• Manage administrative functions: petty cash reconciliation, cash drawer balancing, and sales order entry auditing.
• Resolve post-purchase customer service issues, schedule deliveries, service calls, and conduct satisfaction surveys.
• Process service orders and maintain communication with customers on service status.
• Receive and process purchase orders for parts or store pick-ups.
• Audit and approve daily business folders, ensuring cash balancing and supporting documentation are sent to Retail Accounting.
• Oversee operational processes: store expense control, warehouse procedures, inventory accuracy, and building maintenance.
• Establish relationships and communicate with HR, distribution centers, visual team, corporate customer care, and accounting.
• Collaborate with store manager, regional visual, and warehouse teams to facilitate floor moves and adhere to visual standards.
• Support merchandising and marketing efforts, including new merchandise tagging and updates.
• Perform other operational duties as assigned and maintain satisfactory time and attendance.

• Experience with Windows-based software (Word, Excel) and Bassett systems.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or pull up to 25 pounds, bend, or reach overhead.

Retail experience is a plus but not required.
