The Store Manager at ALO is a true business owner responsible for leading, managing, and continuously developing all aspects of their store's business. This role requires a strong business acumen, local market knowledge, and a deep understanding of the brand's competitors.
About the role
- Develop and execute the store's retail strategies
- Lead the Sales, Operations, and Visual teams
- Create and maintain a positive and highly productive work environment
- Ensure the store team exudes ALO's mission and guiding principles
- Implement talent analysis and career progression plans
- Manage schedules to deliver business results while maintaining labor effectively
- Navigate the organization with a balance of business need and brand culture
- Create and implement effective communication strategies
Responsibilities
- Create and execute retail strategies
- Market the store and its products
- Manage the Sales, Operations, and Visual teams
- Ensure compliance with visual standards and safety protocols
- Develop and manage schedules to meet business goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners
- Communicate effectively with customers and staff
Requirements
- 5+ years of retail or related industry leadership experience
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly motivated by driving business in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability
- Aligns with and embodies ALO's Guiding Principles
- Business owner mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder
- Ability to stand and move for an entire shift
Qualifications
- 5+ years of retail or related industry leadership experience

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
All employees are expected to have open availability and are expected to work variable shifts including peak days and weekends. All employees without exception are expected to be able to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the end of the holiday season (the 1st week of January).
