About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and strategic management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store operation
- Provide and model best-in-class guest service
- Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements
- Process guest purchases/return transactions accurately
- Promote GameStop’s guest benefits and initiatives
- Recruit, interview, hire, assess, develop, and retain high-performing associates
- Schedule store associates and ensure compliance with scheduling guidelines
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates, Retail Keyholders, and Assistant Store Managers
- Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and merchandise presentation
- Perform store inventory counts, fulfill Omni-Channel orders, and handle defectives/recalls
- Report injuries and maintain store records
- Work collaboratively with military personnel on military bases
Qualifications
- Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 1 year of retail management experience required; 3 years preferred
- Video game knowledge preferred
