About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service
- Support the shopping environment, promoting GameStop’s guest benefits and fulfilling orders
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain associates, ensuring they understand policies and procedures
- Schedule and supervise staff, maintaining optimal guest service and meeting sales goals
- Perform inventory counts, stock merchandise, and handle defective items
- Ensure store cleanliness and safety, reporting incidents and injuries promptly
- Lead store team to exceed sales and profit targets, completing administrative duties
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the US
- High school diploma or equivalent, with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred
- At least 1 year of retail management experience, and 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred
- Video game knowledge is preferred
