About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service.
- Support the shopping environment, promoting GameStop’s guest benefits and fulfilling orders.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a retail staff, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Ensure store cleanliness and organize merchandise, handling inventory and security.
- Count and reconcile daily transactions, maintain records, and report discrepancies.
- Lead the team in achieving sales and profit targets, adhering to company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field.
- At least 1 year of retail management experience, with 3 years of retail sales and management experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge is beneficial.
