About the role

The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and strategic management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a multiunit store operation
  • Model and provide best-in-class guest service
  • Support the shopping environment and promote GameStop’s guest benefits
  • Hire, train, and retain high-performing associates
  • Schedule associates and ensure optimal guest service
  • Supervise store operations and fulfill administrative duties
  • Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions
  • Manage inventory and protect company assets
  • Lead store team to meet sales and profit goals
  • Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred
  • At least 1 year of retail management experience
  • At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred
  • Video game knowledge preferred

  • Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States
  • Possess an outgoing personality with strong people skills
  • Provide genuine and individualized assistance to every guest
  • Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication and listening skills
  • Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) computer system
  • Complete required paperwork properly
  • Carry out instructions and convey instructions to others
  • Able to stand, move, bend, stoop, crouch, stretch, reach, climb, lift up to 30 lbs., and utilize fine and gross motor skills
