About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and strategic management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store operation
- Model and provide best-in-class guest service
- Support the shopping environment and promote GameStop’s guest benefits
- Hire, train, and retain high-performing associates
- Schedule associates and ensure optimal guest service
- Supervise store operations and fulfill administrative duties
- Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions
- Manage inventory and protect company assets
- Lead store team to meet sales and profit goals
- Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred
- At least 1 year of retail management experience
- At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred
- Video game knowledge preferred

- Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) computer system
- Complete required paperwork properly
- Carry out instructions and convey instructions to others
- Able to stand, move, bend, stoop, crouch, stretch, reach, climb, lift up to 30 lbs., and utilize fine and gross motor skills
