About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and performance through exceptional customer service and strategic management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service.
- Support the shopping environment, promoting GameStop's guest benefits and managing associates.
- Process guest purchases and returns accurately, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies.
- Recruit, train, and supervise associates, ensuring they meet performance standards and comply with company policies.
- Ensure store cleanliness and organization, fulfilling inventory counts and handling defective merchandise.
- Lead the team in achieving sales and profit targets, while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of retail management experience required; 3 years preferred.
- Video game knowledge preferred.
- Outgoing personality with strong people skills, clear communication, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
