About the role
The Store Manager is accountable for leading a high-performing store team and delivering consistent business results through strong sales execution, operational excellence, and exceptional customer experience. This role owns the day-to-day performance of the store, including sales, KPIs, payroll, shrink, and visual standards, while recruiting, developing, and retaining top retail talent. The Store Manager leads by example, brings company initiatives to life on the sales floor, and ensures the store operates in alignment with True Religion’s brand, culture, and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Drive Business Results: Own all store KPIs, including sales, payroll, shrink, and profitability. Plan, prioritize, and adjust to meet business needs while working a flexible retail schedule.
- Lead & Communicate Effectively: Set clear expectations, communicate priorities consistently, and foster an open, inclusive environment where teams feel informed, heard, and supported.
- Inspire & Develop Teams: Lead by example, motivate through positive energy and integrity, and create a culture of recognition, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Plan & Execute: Take initiative, make informed decisions, and proactively plan staffing, scheduling, and workload to deliver results. Navigate the sales floor and stockroom as needed.
- Problem Solve & Protect Assets: Use sound judgment to identify root causes, resolve challenges objectively, and safeguard company assets in partnership with Loss Prevention.
- Build & Retain Talent: Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and develop high-performing teams. Identify internal talent, address performance issues consistently, and support succession planning.
- Deliver Exceptional Customer Experience: Champion True Religion’s selling culture by setting service standards, coaching in the moment, and creating an engaging, brand-right environment.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure consistent execution of policies, procedures, payroll controls, and MOD (Manager on Duty) standards while maintaining safety, compliance, and operational discipline.
- Visual & Inventory Leadership: Uphold visual merchandising standards and maintain a clean, organized sales floor and stockroom.
- Other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of retail management experience in a specialty or fashion environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven ability to drive store KPIs, including sales, payroll, shrink, and profitability.
- Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing retail teams.
- Strong customer engagement skills with a focus on delivering exceptional in-store experiences.
- Experience executing visual merchandising standards and maintaining brand presentation.
- Solid operational knowledge, including scheduling, inventory management, and loss prevention.
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning retail systems and technology.
Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $75,000 – $85,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity.

Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt position. The role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and peak retail hours.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to maneuver on the sales floor and stockroom, stand for extended periods, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders.
- Lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
