Store Manager Madison, Alabama

Our Store Managers are responsible for the daily operations and profitability of one or more of our retail Check ‘N Go, Allied Cash, or Cash Store locations, all part of the CNG Holdings, Inc., family of companies.

Responsibilities

• Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio by presenting all options for products and/or services that meet their needs.
• Interact with customers using active listening skills to confirm or clarify information and diffuse customer complaints; escalate issues to the District Director of Operations (DDO) and Corporate Office if unable to resolve directly.
• Respond professionally and accurately to customer inquiries regarding applications, sales, courtesy calls, and collections in accordance with federal regulations, store procedures, and volume expectations.
• Handle and count currency, cash, and coins, including managing a cash drawer, counting deposits, moving cash from secure safe to drawer, and other cash handling requirements; may be responsible for bank deposits or pick-ups.
• Balance individual batch receipts with store sales reports at end of day and assist with resolving over/short discrepancies.
• Perform customer verifications to validate information presented.
• Process all transactions accurately and per company policy, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
• Comply with federal and state regulations and Company policies and procedures; complete compliance trainings and quarterly I Agree statements timely.
• Coordinate operations, development, and training to ensure the store achieves metric targets.
• Maintain store staff schedule and assist in covering other stores within the district.
• Support store staff to ensure excellent customer service and embodiment of sales culture.
• Assist District Director of Operations with recruiting, selection, and onboarding of Assistant Store Managers in the district.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience with sales, customer service, and cash handling.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, work autonomously, and provide store-level leadership.
• Must have own personal reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License, and valid Automobile Insurance while employed (public transportation or rides from family/friends do not qualify).
• Ability and willingness to consistently live and embrace core values: accountable, inclusive, transparent, and focused.

Physical Demands

• Call center/retail/office environment.
• Extensive cash handling.
• Extended phone usage.
• Long periods of standing.
• Extended viewing of computer screens and typing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Travel / Attendance

• Must be able to travel to all stores within the assigned district using a personal vehicle.
• May be asked to travel to neighboring districts.
• May require overnight travel.
• Must work assigned shifts as scheduled.

Supervisory Functions

This position may serve as the on-site lead for one or more Assistant Store Managers.
