Duties/Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a smile and top-tier service
- Lead and develop store staff through hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling
- Monitor store financials, sales, and cash/inventory handling
- Oversee product ordering, delivery reconciliation, and inventory levels
- Drive sales through effective foodservice and merchandising management
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements (alcohol, tobacco, lottery, etc.)
- Participate in leadership meetings and hold effective team huddles
- Uphold Jacksons standards, policies, and procedures
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Skills/Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Our stores require open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (24/7 operation)
- 2+ years of management or supervisory experience (retail or foodservice preferred)
- A Food Handlers Permit as required by county, city, or state
- A proven history of exceptional customer service
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Basic computer and POS system proficiency
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Legal age to stock and sell regulated products
- Strong attention to detail and a history of being self-motivated
- A hands-on leader who leads by example and thrives in a team environment
- This is a transitional position. Store Managers in Training are expected to move into a leadership role within the company after completing the training program
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds
- Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals
