About the role
The Store Manager position is located at 852 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, Washington 98114. Shifts are flexible, including days, evenings, overnight, and weekends. This full-time position requires a high school diploma or GED, and experience in retail sales is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and train positive, enthusiastic employees to ensure excellent customer service.
- Develop, manage, and assign tasks to ensure the site is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and maintained according to company standards.
- Schedule employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain site image.
- Implement non-discriminatory management skills during hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and separating employees.
- Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with all suppliers and promote excellent service and resolution of customer complaints.
- Train all employees to ensure customer service, site image, and marketing execution meet company standards, and promote safety awareness.
- Develop ways and means to ensure all employees receive proper communication in a timely manner, establish periodic communication meetings with all site employees and the Market Manager.
- Evaluate and develop specific action plans to address the needs of the site, organize and maintain all site files and manuals, manage and supervise store employees to ensure accurate and timely completion of required reports, stock merchandise correctly, and ensure all required employment-related posters and signs are accessible.
- Analyze daily sales and expense information, take appropriate action to maximize sales and net profits, budget and forecast P&L lines, understand and manage merchandise margins, safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed, and perform all other financial analysis necessary to maximize sales and net profits.
- Work approximately all work indoors but may be required to work outside for cleaning purposes, be exposed to occasional cold temperatures, noise, and occasional exposure to hazardous conditions.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license and adequate transportation to/from bank and corporate management meetings.
- Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Ability to supervise and manage employees.
- Ability to use computer and acquire necessary computer skills to use a computer at the site, including analysis of reports, inventory control, cash control, counseling notices, etc.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in retail sales preferred.
- Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools, and materials listed in the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Assistant Site Manager (ASM) job descriptions.
- Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in the CSR and ASM job descriptions.
- Ability to use computer, or acquire those skills necessary to use a computer at the site, which includes analysis of reports, inventory control, cash control, counseling notices, etc.
