Responsibilities

  • Learn and lead a team to provide exceptional service and guidance to customers.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including business performance, product management, and ensuring team success.
  • Support the total shopping experience, including visual merchandising, sales initiatives, and customer relationships.
  • Represent GNC by offering expert product knowledge and promoting the "Live Well" message.
  • Work closely with a Store Manager or District Manager to achieve and exceed personal and team sales goals.
  • Engage in training initiatives, projects, and goal-setting to support career advancement.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on store type.

Requirements

To be considered for the SMIT position, candidates must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred.

Pay

The starting hourly rate for the SMIT position is $15.00 per hour, with the potential for additional performance-based incentive pay.

Schedule

SMITs are expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, typically five days a week. Hours vary by store type and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Specific schedules are determined by the store manager and can be found in the employee handbook.
