What You'll Do

• Learn and be expected to lead, coach, and support your team to provide exceptional service and guidance to our customers.
• Oversee the daily operations of the store, including business performance, product management, and ensure your team has the tools to succeed.
• Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner that is consistent with GNC values and policies.
• Represent the GNC brand by offering expert product knowledge and promoting our "Live Well" message to customers.
• Participate in leader training initiatives, projects, and goals to support your path to promotion during the program.
• Support the total shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and the customer relationship that leads to sales and repeat business, i.e. MYGNC Rewards.
• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals, while helping sales associates to realize their sales potential.
• Build strong teams, demonstrate leadership, and managerial skills, such as giving feedback to store associates regarding work performance on an ongoing basis, recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
• Open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory count, and deposits according to GNC procedures.
• Attend community fairs, conferences, meetings, and other public gatherings to promote the organization's mission and initiatives.

Environmental Factors & Working Schedule

• Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching and bending and twisting - below waist and above shoulders.
• Frequently required to use repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift up to twenty pounds, occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Push/pull up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach and bend.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 85 degrees - especially in our stock room areas.
• Use of a computer up to 60% of the time throughout the day.

Schedule

• Must be available to work five (5) days / forty (40) hours a week.
• Must work at least two nights during the week until closing, one weekend night and one other night for mall and strip center stores.
• Must work a full shift on Saturdays for strip center SMITs.
• Must work peak business days including weekends (Saturday & Sunday) for mall SMITs.
• Must work a minimum of one full Sunday per month for mall SMITs.
• Must work during the lunch hour of 11am to 2pm Monday through Friday for downtown stores.
• Must work one night per week until closing if the store is open for downtown SMITs.
• Must not work Saturdays for downtown SMITs.
• Must work all major U.S. holidays that the store is open.
