About the role

The Store Manager is responsible for cultivating and leading a customer‑focused, sales‑driven, profitable and productive store. This role owns all aspects of in‑store presentation and operational functions, leads the team with passion for product, brands, fashion and trends, and consistently coaches both Management and Associate teams to align with company strategies and goals. The Store Manager also ensures a rewarding associate experience and delivers an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and delegates tasks to meet all selling, visual, and operational needs.
• Builds product confidence by creating accountability and expertise through basic and seasonal educational tools.
• Supports and executes all product, visual, and marketing directives while maintaining company standards.
• Maintains a clean, well‑organized, replenished store and stockroom, promoting a safe working and shopping environment.
• Anticipates and determines customer needs, “solving for yes” to ensure satisfaction.
• Fosters an engaging, positive, and authentic selling experience to encourage repeat visits.
• Accountable for achieving all company sales, metric, and operational goals.
• Uses key business reports and payroll tools to evaluate performance and communicate action steps.
• Creates shortage action plans to minimize loss and meet shrinkage goals.
• Drives and executes digital sales strategies, including ship‑from‑store and BOPIS.
• Communicates store and customer feedback to the District or Market Manager to grow the business.
• Consistently coaches Management and Associate teams to maintain alignment with company strategies.
• Performance‑manages underperforming team members in partnership with supervisors and HR as needed.
• Reflects the PacSun brand by demonstrating passion and affinity for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
• Demonstrates willingness, aptitude, and initiative to learn about new products, brands, fashion, and trends.

Requirements

• Passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
• Four‑year college degree or equivalent preferred.
• Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage at all levels.
• Proven ability to drive sales results in a high‑volume environment.
• Excellent time‑management skills.
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures to resolve customer and associate issues.
• Willingness to travel periodically for meetings/workshops (overnight may be required).
• Proficiency in math and strong computer skills.
• Minimum five years of retail experience with a demonstrated ability to drive sales.
• Minimum two years of retail management experience.

Physical Requirements

The role requires frequent lifting or moving of up to 20 lb (occasionally up to 35 lb), frequent sitting/standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and regular talking or hearing. Associates must frequently sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle items, and reach, twist, or squat. Vision requirements include close, distance, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The work environment includes open areas with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting, and may involve travel by hotel, airplane, or car.

Schedule

This is a full‑time position. Flexibility is required, including the ability to work weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.
