About the role

Lush North America has been creating fresh and handmade cosmetics for the past 20 years, keeping our customers’ bathtubs and showers a little more magical through our retail shops across Canada and the US. We are dedicated to fair trade sourcing, supporting sustainable communities, and giving back to organizations that can make a difference.

We offer a fun and funky store atmosphere where individualism is encouraged, a 50% discount off all our products, an unconventional retail structure to support your entrepreneurial spirit, and opportunities for growth as Lush loves to promote from within.

As a Lush Store Manager, you're a true leader who embodies our core values in everything you do: Be Real, Be Curious, Lead Fearlessly, Adapt and Evolve, Grow Talent, and Live with Purpose. You oversee all aspects of the retail business, from managing budgets to exceeding sales targets, while creating an environment that fosters strong customer and staff experiences and operational excellence.

  • Demonstrate strong business acumen by developing and executing business plans aligned with the American business strategy to achieve short- and long-term goals, improve KPIs, and meet sales targets.

  • Balance analysis, experience, and perspective when addressing performance concerns and create action plans to improve staff engagement, demonstrating empathy and considering personal situations.
  • Form teams with an appropriate and diverse mix of styles, perspectives, and experiences, ensuring equal employment opportunity practices in the interview and promotion process.

Operational Excellence

  • Prioritize shop compliance by ensuring staff complete training and adhere to company standards for time and attendance, breaks, product integrity, respectful workplace policies, health and safety protocols, and daily communication—all within budget.
  • Train and equip your team to manage stock and inventory, ensuring the right products are in the store at the right times using inventory reporting tools and action plans to manage orders, waste, and budgets.
  • Create and execute merchandising plans to improve KPIs, and train your team to maintain a clean, beautiful work environment while following design standards to drive sales.
  • Ensure the right number of staff with the right skill levels are scheduled at peak times, and that breaks and meals are allocated appropriately to support staff wellbeing and payroll accuracy, while staying within your labor budget.

Requirements
