Position starts at $68,500-$75,000 (dependent upon experience) with annual merit increases and production bonuses.
About the role
Manages, leads, and operates a retail store and donation center. This role offers the opportunity to earn quarterly incentive pay for driving strong store performance and exceeding net income goals. Eligible team members can earn additional quarterly payouts, with the potential to earn up to $2,500 per quarter based on results.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with all established Agency policies, procedures, and practices.
- Directs activities—verbally, written, and physically—for the retail store to ensure net performance provides satisfactory financial support by managing sales, production, expenses, payroll budgets, personnel issues, accounting, merchandising, loss prevention, and staff development.
- Interviews, hires, and completes the onboarding process for all new hires.
- Ensures all employees are trained and developed in their job positions and attend all required orientations and classes.
- Supervises staff and fulfills staffing and scheduling needs for regular hours, special events, or high-traffic times.
- Coordinates shipments and adjusts inventory to ensure adequate product to achieve sales goals.
- Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited daily and reports are submitted as required by Agency policy.
- Motivates a positive work environment through communication, incentives, and evaluations.
- Directs and shares the agency’s initiatives around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Resolves customer issues to maintain satisfaction and a positive shopping environment.
- Ensures merchandise is priced according to established guidelines.
- Implements seasonal planograms, floor sets, store signage, and sales promotion activities.
- Reports known or suspected security and theft problems to Loss Prevention.
- Works with Workforce Development Services and Retail Pathways liaison to ensure service programs function properly at the store level.
- Directly supervises store employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Performs work of subordinates as needed.
- Serves as a member of the Donated Goods Retail Management Team.
- Reports building and equipment repair needs to the Retail Operations Director, Area Operations Director, or Director of Facilities.
- Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by the Retail Operations Director or Area Operations Director.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school in Business or a related field and three years of retail management experience as a Store Manager; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver's License (Class C), car insurance, and a reliable automobile.
