About the role
The Store Manager is responsible for upholding the daily operations of a retail store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising execution, managing expenses and inventory, training and developing the store team, human resources management, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall quality and performance of the retail store staff.
- Analyze and measure business trends to maximize revenues and control costs at or better than plan.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Model effective leadership to gain commitment to store goals and training standards.
- Handle recruitment, selection, training, and development of store personnel.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for all store employees.
- Manage expenses and develop strategies to align store performance with the budget.
- Monitor and address issues related to loss or inconsistencies to achieve shrink goals at or below company plan.
- Ensure operational compliance, safety, and business standards are met.
- Identify market conditions and merchandise opportunities, communicating insights to the District Manager.
- Maintain company customer service standards to provide outstanding service in a friendly environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule
A standard work week consists of a minimum of 46 hours. A flexible schedule is required, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year in retail management.
- Solid knowledge of business and excellent command of the English language for effective communication.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to think strategically, plan, and organize effectively.
- Exemplary professionalism in all situations.
- Proficient analytical ability to gather and summarize data, solve administrative problems, and prioritize work.
- Results-driven with critical and creative thinking skills.
- Strong project management, time management, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgment with compassion and diplomacy.
- Proven ability to plan, organize, multitask, set priorities, and respond proactively to changing demands.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Willingness to work in multiple stores within the assigned district.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods; lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work extended hours during critical project phases in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Reliable transportation required; willingness to travel via car, plane, or train.
