Job Responsibilities/Tasks
- Maintains and improves customer service through reminders, training, and action plans.
- Greet customers and clinic patients, offer assistance, and model customer service best practices.
- Resolve customer complaints and assist with special needs.
- Supervise store and pharmacy operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including alcohol and tobacco sales.
- Manage store cleanliness and maintain grounds, responding to emergencies.
- Implement District Manager feedback and manage store operations.
- Assign daily operational responsibilities and set expectations for team members.
- Monitor and analyze financial and performance data to increase sales and control costs.
- Analyze pharmacy and clinic performance indicators and support during busy periods.
- Identify sales opportunities and manage inventory levels.
- Manage team member performance, career progression, and training.
- Communicate with district, corporate, and the community, and plan and attend events.
People and Performance Management
- Manages team member performance by assigning responsibilities, setting goals, and providing feedback.
- Makes hiring, promotion, and termination decisions, addressing issues and disciplining team members as needed.
- Develops employee performance plans and follows up according to deadlines.
- Monitors and approves team member compensation, promoting teamwork and motivation.
- Ensures compliance with policies and laws, and communicates openly with team members.
Training and Personal Development
- Participates in company and on-the-job training to improve skills and productivity.
- Attends training requested by District Management and corporate, including Walgreens School of Operations completion within six months.
- Obtains pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required by state law.
- Pursues PTCB or ExCPT certification if required by state.
- Seeks self-development by monitoring own performance, setting high personal standards, and learning about management and pharmacy fields.
