Store Manager

About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, staffing, employee training, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws.
• Conduct performance reviews, address employee performance issues, and recommend pay raises or promotions.
• Manage store opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Analyze sales, profitability, and inventory data to identify business trends and control expenses.
• Order merchandise to meet stock targets, oversee inventory management, and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, control shrinkage, and uphold cash handling and security procedures.
• Lead customer service initiatives, maintain a clean and safe store environment, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Complete required documentation and support staff development.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of recruiting, hiring, and employee counseling procedures.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to adapt to varied situations.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred at some locations.

Experience & Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Management experience in retail is advantageous.
