Store Manager
About the Role
Managers In Training will learn how to successfully manage the day-to-day responsibilities of running a Turkey Hill convenience store location. This role supports the Store Manager and other team members in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience. During training, you will work alongside Training Managers and Supervising Managers, gaining insight into our company, retail team, vendors, and guests. After training, you’ll join our bench leadership team, filling in during absences until assigned to your own store.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a warm welcome and a smile to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Assist the Store Manager in building and developing a strong store team through training, scheduling, and coaching.
- Act as a leader by setting clear goals, holding yourself and others accountable, and communicating effectively.
- Monitor product levels on the sales floor, rotate stock, and ensure 100% in-stock availability for guests.
- Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store, including interior, exterior, coffee station, food service area, and restrooms.
- Operate the cash register efficiently.
- Oversee quality control, merchandising, and food safety programs in locations offering hot food.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.
Our stores are open to guests rain or shine, including weekends and holidays. All team members contribute to delivering the best experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of retail or food service experience; leadership experience preferred.
- ServSafe/Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Comfortable interacting with guests and team members in a high-energy environment.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to support others.
- Basic computer skills are helpful.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Capable of standing or walking for up to 8 hours a day.
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, grasp, and grip.
- Comfortable working in cooler environments (cold temperatures).
- Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
- Specialized attire (e.g., hats, visors, gloves) may be required in food establishments.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring up to 40 regular hours per week, with 5 hours of overtime as needed. Stores may operate 24 hours, so shifts include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel requirement: 5%. Ability to deliver deposits to the bank independently (where applicable) and have access to a personal vehicle.
