Store Manager
About the Role
Managers In Training will learn how to successfully manage the day-to-day responsibilities of running a Turkey Hill convenience store location. This role supports the Store Manager and other team members in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience. During training, you’ll work alongside Training Managers and Supervising Managers across various shifts to gain insight into our company, retail team, vendors, and guests. After training, you’ll join our bench leadership team, filling in during absences until assigned to your own store.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a warm welcome and a smile to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Assist the Store Manager in building and developing a strong store team through training, scheduling, and coaching.
- Act as a leader by setting clear goals, holding yourself and others accountable, and communicating effectively.
- Monitor product levels on the sales floor, rotate stock, and ensure 100% in-stock availability for guests.
- Maintain overall store appearance and cleanliness, including the coffee station, food service area, and bathrooms.
- Operate the cash register efficiently.
- In locations with hot food, oversee quality control, merchandising, and food safety programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.
- Contribute to delivering the best guest experience, including working weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of retail or food service experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Comfortable interacting with guests and team members in a high-energy environment.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to support others.
- Basic computer skills.
- ServSafe/Food Safety certification is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours a day, including reaching overhead, bending, squatting, twisting, and working in cooler temperatures.
- Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
- Specialized attire (e.g., hats, visors, gloves) may be required in food establishments.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring up to 40 regular hours per week with 5 hours of overtime. Shifts may vary, including day, night, weekend, and holiday hours, as Turkey Hill locations can be open 24 hours depending on the store.
Travel requirement: 5%. Ability to deliver deposits to the bank independently (where applicable) and have your own vehicle.
