Responsibilities
- Maintaining exemplary customer service within the store and establishing special business relationships with our customers so they will choose to do business with us rather than our competitors
- Implementing strategies to help meet store goals and objectives
- Recruiting, developing, and motivating store employees who exceed internal and external customer expectations
- Work with approved supplier’s representatives to grow employee’s knowledge of lines
- Maintain a safe workplace environment, Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Marketing within your community to increase market share and store revenues
- Resolving customer complaints for increased customer satisfaction
- Controlling labor hours, cash, store audits, core returns, cycle counts and shrinkage
- Inventory protection, asset management, operational and safety issues
- Help maintain a neat and clean store environment for our customers and employees
- Oversees staff and fulfills staffing needs for regular hours, as well as high-traffic times
- Maintains and motivates a positive sales team through communication, employee engagement and evaluations
- Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies
- Develops, oversees, and maximizes retail budget and sales
- Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks
- Collaborates with regional managers to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective strategies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Competencies
- Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation
- A minimum of two years of store supervisory and/or management experience
- Heavy Duty Industry experience required
- ASE (T1-T8) (P2) Parts Certification preferred
- Possesses understanding of inventory controls, stocking levels, and seasonal inventory shifts
- Exceptional customer service and communications skills (both written and oral)
- Possesses personal drive, self-motivation, and initiative to accomplish company goals
- Ability to work flexible schedule
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); Associate degree in Business Administration preferred.
