Sprouts Store Managers oversee, manage, and maximize the entire business operations of an assigned store and all related departments, including Produce, Bakery, Deli, Meat, Dairy, Frozen Foods, Vitamins, Beer/Wine, Bulk Foods, and other areas. The role ensures efficient and profitable operations, cleanliness, safety, and a well-stocked inventory while managing profits and losses, hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all store departments and related activities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and well-stocked inventory.
• Manage profits and losses, including financial goals, margin reports, and weekly sales numbers.
• Handle hiring, termination, performance appraisals, scheduling, and team member training and development.
• Address staff issues, customer complaints, and community relations.
• Ensure compliance with store policies, food safety, and sanitation standards, including pulling expired merchandise.
• Coordinate sales promotions, merchandising displays, and advertising copy.
• Manage emergencies, incidents, and accident reports according to company procedures.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company regulations for labor, health, safety, and sanitation (OSHA, etc.).
• Prioritize and handle multiple tasks with strong organization and planning skills.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• Degree in business, management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, liberal arts, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and store assignments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead and participate in a team environment.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to engage customers.
• Proven leadership ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
• Food Safety certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, reach, kneel, squat, and stand for long periods.
