About the role
At Smoothie King we don't just make smoothies, we make the world a better place by nourishing health habits. As a Store Manager, you're the heartbeat of that mission inside your four walls. You set the tone, hold the standard, and build a team that genuinely cares about each other and every guest who walks through the door. This role is for someone who leads with care, does the right thing even when no one's watching, and never stops evolving. You'll blend hands-on hustle with the discipline to run the numbers — using Smoothie King's systems to track performance, spot opportunities, and coach your team toward goals, every single shift.
Responsibilities
- Living the Mission & Building the Culture
- Own the culture — set clear expectations for your team and hold everyone, including yourself, accountable.
- Create a store culture rooted in care, hustle, and integrity, where team members feel connected to each other and to the guests they serve.
- Lead by example on the floor: engage the team, coach in the moment, and make every shift feel like it matters.
- Recognize wins, big and small, and keep the team motivated to keep evolving and getting better.
- Team & Guest Connection
- Own the guest experience — resolve concerns quickly, respond to feedback, and ensure every guest feels cared for.
- Recruit, interview, and hire team members who share our mission — using a values-based approach that looks for care, hustle, and integrity, not just availability.
- Onboard and train new hires so they're set up to succeed from day one.
- Coach and develop your team daily, giving real-time feedback that helps people grow.
- Running the Business
- Own store profitability — manage inventory, control waste, and make data-driven decisions.
- Track and supervise Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using Smoothie King's internal systems — Brink POS, Crunchtime (CT), Teamworx, FranConnect, SOCi, SMG, DAM, and The Blend.
- Increase store sales by growing ticket average and guest counts — through suggestive selling, promotions, and a team that's engaged and incentivized to sell.
- Manage inventory; count accurately, troubleshoot variances, log waste, approve invoices, and order product to keep the store stocked without overspending.
- Build and adjust weekly schedules according to your projections meeting the store's labor goals while working around your team's availability.
- Local Marketing & Community
- Plan and execute local store marketing (LSM) events that connect the store to its community.
- Keep an eye on guest reviews and online reputation, responding and improving where needed.

- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
