Store Manager

Role Overview

Responsible for managing store operations, staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and maintaining a secure, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees; ensure proper staffing levels.
• Provide employee training, conduct performance reviews, and address gaps or disciplinary issues.
• Make recommendations on pay and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance, conduct, safety expectations; coordinate meetings to promote safety and policies.
• Oversee store opening and closing, evaluate sales, profitability, and manage inventory levels.
• Order merchandise to meet stock targets; manage merchandise presentation and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory, control damages and markdowns, and ensure cash handling accountability.
• Lead customer service efforts, ensure store cleanliness and safety, and comply with policies and procedures.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret safety and operational documents; perform mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with recruiting, legal compliance, and security policies.
• Organized with problem-solving abilities; bilingual skills may be preferred in some locations.

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail management experience is advantageous.

Physical & Work Environment

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
• Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
• Fast-paced setting with exposure to outside weather conditions occasionally.
