Store Manager

About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, merchandising, inventory control, and customer service to ensure effective store performance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Manage store opening and closing procedures, staffing levels, and safety standards.
• Analyze sales, profitability, and inventory trends to optimize business performance.
• Oversee merchandise presentation, stocking, and inventory accuracy, including ordering and cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure store environment, ensuring adherence to security and cash handling protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster a positive team environment.
• Ensure compliance with policies, complete necessary documentation, and support safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret operational documents, perform basic math, and handle cash procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and retail practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in retail management and staff development preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, walk, bend, and climb as needed in a fast‑paced environment.
