About the role

As a Store Manager, you will set the store vision and direction and act as a role model for your store team. You will drive continuous improvement and maintain a forward-thinking approach to deliver strategic goals in store. You will also work to maximize sales, maintain store standards, and motivate your team.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed customer expectations and deliver on Primark's proposition
  • Manage inventory, coach your teams to move product in accordance with customer demand
  • Understand the local market by benchmarking against competitor's products, services, and practices
  • Use insight to support strategic planning to improve store performance
  • Drive commercial excellence to achieve sales budget and maximize sales within each department
  • Develop your team to build optimal stock levels, maximize visual impact, and own the resource planning and scheduling process

Requirements

  • 5 years prior experience as a retail Store Manager in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with experience in developing high performing teams and future leaders
  • Commercially astute with the ability to analyze reports and guide teams to improve commercial performance
  • A true leader who can engage and influence stakeholders and act as a role model to motivate and inspire a team that exudes confidence and enthusiasm
  • Experience in empowering and enabling a team to deliver excellent customer service and store standards while maintaining effectiveness and focus on customer needs
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to work to agreed timescales
  • Effective communication skills, including oral and written communication with managers, supervisors, and hourly colleagues in English
  • Ability to provide amazing customer service in English, including oral communication with customers and monitoring the performance of English-speaking colleagues

Benefits

Competitive benefits and work life balance are offered. The pay range for this role is: $111,280-$131,040. The pay guidelines for Interim Assignments are: For promotional opportunities, 10% additional responsibility allowance for the duration of the Interim Assignment. For lateral opportunities, no change to existing pay rate.
