About the role

IT’SUGAR is expanding rapidly with over 100 locations nationwide, aiming to provide a joyful shopping experience. The Retail Store Manager oversees daily operations, sales, and visual standards to ensure the store's success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily sales and back of house operations and ensures sales objectives are met.
  • Evaluates daily operations on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations/initiates action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Holds self and staff accountable to our Core Values and coaches to the behaviors associated with them.
  • Makes staffing decisions including employment, training, task assignment, promotion, discipline and termination for assigned functions.
  • Fosters a productive work environment through consistent coaching, training and engagement of Sales Associates.
  • Promotes safety for both our customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines.
  • Recruit Great Talent by proactively networking/recruiting qualified candidates, interviewing and selecting candidates based on IT’SUGAR'S core values, and ensuring proper backfill for all positions.
  • Achieve Sales Goals by following through on customer requests for specific items and suggesting additional products, using selling skills to explain benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information, and establishing a collaborative selling culture in the store.
  • Manage Store Operations by overseeing all operational standards, executing pricing, signage, replenishment, plan-o-grams, shipping, receiving and maintaining inventory accuracy and product flow, overseeing the execution of store cash handling records, reports, and opening and closing procedures, managing the allocated budget, ensuring the store follows all visual guidelines and supports the brand image, overseeing the planning and set-up for special events and promotions, maintaining communication with Supervisors regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory, and understanding all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicating LP issues with the store leadership team and escalating to HQ as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of retail experience.
  • Prior sales and management experience in a retail environment required.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to use a POS/cash register.
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Able to independently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs with assistance.
