About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Store Manager who embodies GNC's "Live Well" philosophy—living strong, living long, and living fit. As a Store Manager, you will lead, coach, and support your team to provide exceptional service and guidance to customers while overseeing daily store operations, business performance, and product management. This is a full-time hourly supervisory position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach your team to deliver exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge.
• Oversee daily store operations, including business performance, product management, and team development.
• Ensure products are merchandised according to GNC standards while optimizing visibility and accessibility.
• Support the total shopping experience, including visual merchandising, sales initiatives, and customer relationships (e.g., MYGNC Rewards).
• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping associates realize their potential.
• Build and manage strong teams, including recruiting, hiring, performance feedback, and ongoing development.
• Handle opening, closing, and operating the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Attend community events, fairs, and conferences to promote GNC’s mission and initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting—both below the waist and above the shoulders.
• Repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50–85 degrees, particularly in stockroom areas.
• Use of a computer for up to 60% of the workday.

Schedule

• Full-time role, five days (40 hours) per week.
• Mall and strip center store managers must work at least two nights until closing, one weekend night, and one additional night.
• Strip center managers must work a full shift on Saturdays.
• Mall managers must work peak business days, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
• All managers must work a minimum of one full Sunday per month.
• Downtown store managers must work during lunch hours (11 AM–2 PM, Monday–Friday) and one night per week until closing if the store is open in the evening; Saturdays are not required.
• Managers must work all major U.S. holidays that the store is open.
