About the role

We are seeking a Store Manager to lead and inspire a team of employees at Carter’s stores. This role involves fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, guiding team members to excel, and maintaining a strong connection with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Build a talent pipeline through networking and recruiting
  • Develop succession plans by training and developing your team
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment
  • Grow leaders through providing direction, delegation, and investing in their development
  • Create a genuine customer focus on the sales floor
  • Execute Company’s direction on merchandising and operations
  • Manage payroll and budgets
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identify behaviors to drive results
  • Seamlessly lead and integrate an omnichannel experience
  • Reduce loss through consistent customer service, education, and operational controls

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of retail or related management experience leading direct reports
  • A high school diploma or GED

Qualifications

  • A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, including leading, directing, and executing multiple tasks at once
  • Proficient computer and technology skills (Outlook, Excel, Web navigation, etc.)

SkillsLift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
  • Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, with a minimum of two closing shifts a week
