What You’ll Do
- Lead sales, rental, and product support efforts for all agricultural products represented by Butler Ag Equipment.
- Manage store revenue and operating costs to achieve targeted profitability and financial performance.
- Analyze monthly financial statements, market share reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs); identify gaps and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Review customer account balances and partner with leadership to support collection efforts.
- Aid leadership team with setting realistic and attainable goals, forecasts, and business plans.
- Provide guidance and direction to the store management team, including establishing departmental procedures, addressing challenges, and improving overall customer satisfaction.
- Partner with the Regional Product Support Manager, department heads, and other store/branch managers to ensure consistent application of company policies and practices.
- Direct sales team management, including assigning territories, coaching and training, and managing the sales funnel (activities, opportunities, and quotes).
- Assist in setting and achieving sales targets and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain responsibility for relationship management on select key store accounts.
- Monitor targeted margins, used equipment values, inventory turns, and sales performance metrics; recommend and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Review buyer and rental orders to ensure accuracy, compliance with company programs, and margin expectations.
- Promote and uphold Butler Ag Equipment’s strong safety culture by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Ensure all associates complete required safety training and ongoing technical and job-related training.
- Participate in industry trade shows and serve as an active member of relevant agricultural and industry associations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervise sales personnel, department managers, and support staff.
- Organize, communicate, and delegate responsibilities and priorities effectively.
- Encourage career development through coaching, mentoring, and technical training.
- Ensure employee performance standards are met through regular feedback, coaching, counseling, and formal performance reviews (at least annually).
- Provide timely recognition and performance feedback to motivate employees and support professional growth.
