About the Role

The Store Manager will take full ownership of the store, ensuring smooth operations from stock management to service standards. They will use commercial judgement to create a delightful customer experience and drive strong business results. The role is located at 200 Summit Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35243.

Responsibilities

• Business Leadership:
  • Manage daily operations, sales, and compliance with operating guidelines to achieve income and profit targets.
  • Make commercial, operational, and people decisions aligned with business strategy and culture.
  • Drive sales performance to meet budget objectives while ensuring operational integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve store performance, customer experience, and local market execution.
  • Analyze monthly performance and report trends, including competitor performance.
  • Lead customer engagement on the sales floor and ensure high customer service standards.
  • Manage stock levels and communicate with key departments for product support.
  • Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and share insights.
• Store Operations:
  • Oversee merchandise processing and shipments.
  • Create accurate monthly schedules and manage payroll records.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • Develop and communicate retail policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory and sales preparations.
• Customer Focus:
  • Promote brand awareness through community outreach and events.
  • Lead by example in delivering superior customer service.
  • Monitor CRM data to build relationships and personalize client development.
  • Follow up on KPIs and customer experience metrics.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of retail management experience with leadership responsibility.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
• Track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Passion for the fashion industry and appreciation for Boden's British heritage.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Shopify POS preferred.
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50lbs, and perform merchandising tasks.
