Store Director - Flex

About the role

Maverik is searching for an ambitious individual to join their team as a Store Director Trainee. This role offers comprehensive training and advancement to a Store Director Flex position.

Responsibilities

• Travel within an assigned district, including overnight stays.
• Manage succession planning, workforce planning, and people development within the store, including recruiting, hiring, training, setting performance expectations, coaching, and terminating employees.
• Facilitate the delivery of Company training programs.
• Ensure the safety and security of store team members, customers, and vendors.
• Collaborate with the District Manager and Sr Director of Regional Operations on P&L management, business plans, and budgets.
• Implement Company initiatives, enhance the customer experience, and foster a culture of coaching, engagement, and teamwork.
• Lead the store team in implementing best practices, measuring operational efficiencies, improving productivity, and achieving operational standards.
• Engage with Food Service initiatives to maximize sales and productivity while controlling waste.
• Drive a customer-centric culture by ensuring processes, communications, and rewards incentivize premium customer service.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience or willingness to learn in areas such as recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, customer service, and operational efficiency.
• ServeSafe Certification: Currently certified or willing to obtain.

Pay & Schedule

Initially, you will receive hourly compensation during your training period ($23.00/hr. - $28.00/hr.). Upon successful completion of training, you will transition to a salaried Store Director Flex role with a salary range of $63,000 - $68,000 per year, with eligibility for a bonus program.

Physical Requirements

The job requires repetitive standing, walking, handling, and reaching horizontally. It also involves frequent reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing. (All activities could have up to 50lbs involved).

Must be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures, while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
