Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive store layouts, detailed floor plans, striking storefront elevations, and realistic 3D renderings that consistently uphold brand standards.
- Translate overarching design concepts into tailored retail solutions for individual locations, ensuring brand consistency across all implementations.
- Generate and meticulously review construction drawings and shop drawings to guarantee accuracy and strict adherence to the intended design.
- Collaborate closely with diverse internal teams, including construction, visual merchandising, operations, and purchasing, to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Oversee and coordinate external consultants and vendors, ensuring all design assets are delivered on schedule and to specification.
- Effectively manage multiple design projects concurrently, guiding them through various stages of the design lifecycle.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues that could impact project timelines, budgets, or design integrity.
- Stay abreast of the latest retail design trends, innovative materials, and best practices in customer experience to inform and elevate design solutions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in designing physical retail environments, including expertise in store planning, layout optimization, fixture design, and customer flow analysis.
- Strong proficiency in 2D drafting and advanced 3D modeling and rendering techniques.
- Proven ability to create, interpret, and critically review technical drawings and comprehensive construction documentation.
- A track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, enabling clear and compelling articulation of design ideas.
- Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality, precise work.
- A collaborative mindset with extensive experience working effectively across various teams and stakeholder groups.
Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard drafting tools, such as CAD software or equivalent.
- Experience with 3D modeling software like SketchUp or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with drawing review tools (e.g., Bluebeam or similar applications).
- Experience with creative suite tools (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign) or similar design software.
- Working knowledge of standard presentation and productivity software.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related field.
- Experience working within multi-location or high-volume retail environments.
- Exposure to large-scale store rollout programs, prototype development, or scalable design systems.
- Familiarity with various materials, fixture specifications, and millwork detailing.
