About the Role
As a Customer Service Specialist at our Melaleuca Store, you will provide world-class service to customers and employees, ensuring minimal wait times and a clean, well-stocked store. You will educate customers on Melaleuca products and services, increase average orders through sales techniques, and maintain store presentation and inventory.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and display product specials and graphics in a professional presentation.
- Ensure shelves are stocked by ordering, checking inventory levels, and restocking as needed.
- Answer customer inquiries with knowledgeable and professional assistance.
- Increase sales by recommending additional products or tools (e.g., books, tapes, specials).
- Log customer orders accurately and courteously, ensuring familiarity with all products, policies, and procedures.
- Fill over-the-counter orders accurately by locating items, bagging orders, and assisting customers.
- Maintain a clean and professional store atmosphere through cleaning, arranging, and displaying products.
- Assist with cash reconciliation and balancing tills daily.
- Follow proper opening and closing security routines.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and the marketing plan.
- 10-key by touch and 40 WPM typing speed.
- Strong organizational and detailed work skills.
- Ability to analyze problems and create solutions.
- Ability to work independently, professionally, and follow through on projects.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive areas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under stress and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Manual dexterity for tasks such as stapling, collating, sorting, filing, typing, writing, wiping, dusting, cleaning, and toting.
- Ability to communicate effectively (hearing and speech) with individuals in person and by phone.
- Ability to visually read reports, computer screens, bottles, products, and batch numbers.
- Computerized accounts receivable experience.
- Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Strong customer relation skills for handling conflict situations.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs and perform pulling, stretching, bending, and lifting for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to perform essential duties with efficiency and accuracy.
