Store Counter Sales (Part Time)

About the role

As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the “face of the retail store” and the go-to person for customers as soon as they enter our retail stores for all of their automotive needs. This role is a great opportunity whether you are looking to spend your career with us as a Parts Specialist, work full/part-time, or explore other careers within NAPA.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone.
• Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions.
• Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who comes into the store.
• Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced environment.
• Welcome retail customers and engage to provide a positive experience.
• Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog systems.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn all things auto parts.
• High School Diploma or GED. Technical or Trade school courses or degree is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or passion for the automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
• ASE Certifications.
