Store Clerk Driver
Job Summary
General Summary: Working under the general supervision of the Distribution Manager and in accordance with established procedures, performs a variety of duties, including the receiving and delivery of supplies and equipment to Hospital departments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspects and receives all shipments from vendors into the computer system. Processes priority, stat, or refrigerated items in a timely manner. Verifies with packing list and receiving documents, noting all discrepancies, damage, etc., on proper document. Reports discrepancies to supervisor on duty.
- Delivers items to appropriate department/individuals in a timely manner, obtaining proper signatures for all deliveries. Picks up return items with proper documentation. Ships all outgoing items to appropriate vendor or individual in a timely manner.
- Unpacks/uncrates items. Identifies the department or individual the items are to be delivered to and marks box/item for proper destination. Prepares sign-out sheet or receiving report for all items, with or without a purchase order. Files packing list and signed receiving document/sign-out for future reference.
- Is responsible for cross-training for coverage of par-levels, weekly orders, and vendor orders as required. Is responsible for print shop and weekly stationery orders from vendors. Fills stationery and weekly department orders as required. Fills in for Coordinator for necessary inventory and par-level restocking functions as required.
- Conducts inventories in General Stores and department inventories as needed as part of the restocking function. Participates in physical inventories as required. Trains other clerks for receiving functions. Performs driving duties with Hospital van.
Knowledge, Experience and Other Job Requirements
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and accurately count and use computer printouts and terminals.
- Minimum of six months' related experience.
- Must have approved Massachusetts valid driver’s license
Working Conditions
- Lifting, pushing and pulling dollies and/or supplies, along with the operation of equipment in confined spaces.
- Occasional exposure to inclement weather when loading/unloading truck.

Salary
$15.00 - $29.85 per hour
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience.
