Store Clerk

Job Duties

• Greets customers, answers the telephone courteously, and completes all sales transactions
• Ensures merchandise inventory is kept neat, attractively displayed and sufficiently stocked. Communicates inventory shortages to the RV Resort Manager and Store Supervisor
• Operates cash register, fuel console, lottery machine, money order machine, and telecom transactions
• Receives payment from customer in cash, check or credit card and accurately counts and provides change when applicable. Reports cash shortages to the RV Resort Manager as needed
• Affords merchandise orders, receives and verifies vendor deliveries, and stocks merchandise as requested. Maintains a good working relationship with vendors
• Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned by Store Supervisor
• Greets and registers overnight campers and provides passes to registered guests
• Cleans and maintains both the inside and outside areas of the store
• Inspects store facilities and equipment to ensure the safety, cleanliness and proper working order. Reports all issues to RV Resort Manager and Store Supervisor when applicable

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance
• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and the internet
• Must have valid driver's license
