Store Cleaning Associate

Responsibilities

• Operate scrubber and buffer, dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards
• Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store (Sales Floor, Backroom, Front End, etc.) to support business needs
• Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Maintain all floor care cleanliness standards, including maintenance and operation of scrubber and buffer
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store (Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, Restrooms)
• Adhere to all company policies concerning Health and Safety, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End
• Support and respond to all Front End coverage needs
• Adhere to and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day
• Adhere to all operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink reduction
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, including meal and break period policies
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor buffer and scrubber
• Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; listens and responds appropriately
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred

Pay

Starting pay range: $13.50 to $14.00 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
