About the role

Join our team as a Retail Store Associate, responsible for ensuring smooth store operations and delivering exceptional customer service. Duties include restocking shelves, slicing deli meats, receiving products, assisting customers, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, inviting environment. You will help foster a sense of community while supporting store functions.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet and assist customers professionally and courteously.
• Store Maintenance: Stock, clean, rotate products, and ensure proper store presentation.
• Food Safety & Sanitation: Follow safety procedures for food handling, preparation, and packaging.
• Equipment & Price Accuracy: Maintain equipment, resolve pricing discrepancies, and minimize shrinkage.
• Collaboration: Support other departments and participate in sales promotions as needed.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Basic retail store knowledge and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 80 lb, and operate various equipment like slicers, mixers, and scales.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate vision, and ability to differentiate products.
• Ability to read, learn product locations, and work in a grocery environment with temperatures from 50°F to 90°F.
• Some retail experience preferred.
