Store Associate/Key Holder

About the role

The Rescue Mission is seeking a Sales Associate, Key Holder to serve customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing, and tagging merchandise. This position also assists store management with running an efficient and service-oriented store, promoting Rescue Mission while building relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide information and answers to their questions.
• Open and close the store in the absence of the store manager and/or assistant store manager.
• Process cash, checks, sales discounts, and credit cards.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the store.
• Contribute positively to the team environment.
• Identify, report, and solve issues to the store management.
• Stock shelves, counters, racks, and tables as needed.
• Create displays and make announcements as directed by the supervisor.
• Manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Stand for long periods of time and perform tasks requiring bending and lifting.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED certificate.
• 1-3 years retail experience preferred.
• Previous customer-service experience.
• Previous cash register and reconciliation experience preferred.
• Emotionally mature and able to handle stress professionally and in public.
• Ability to work in an unsupervised atmosphere.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and days.
• Customer-service oriented.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, visually check color-coded racks and sizing by number, and perform tasks requiring bending and lifting.

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
