The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health plays a significant role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the overall health and wellness of individuals and communities. Responsibilities
- Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs, demonstrating compassion, and actively resolving service issues.
- Focus on the customer by greeting warmly, maintaining eye contact, and offering assistance as needed.
- Accurately perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision.
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and managing inventory tasks.
- Support opening and closing store activities as needed.
- Offer customer support to various departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational.
- Assist pharmacy personnel as needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy for growth and development opportunities.
- Advocate for and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs that align with the company's mission of improving health outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 16 years of age.
- Remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods.
- Lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible amounts regularly.
- Having close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspections involving small parts/details.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred but not required.
Skills
Effective communication skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.
