About the role
The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health plays a significant role in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. You'll be responsible for managing cash transactions, stocking shelves, and supporting various departments within the store.
Responsibilities
- Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming presence, assisting customers with product selection and checkout.
- Perform cashier duties accurately, handling cash, checks, and credit cards according to company policies.
- Manage the sales floor by restocking shelves, interacting with vendors, and updating pricing information.
- Support opening and closing store activities, including inventory management and departmental readiness.
- Offer assistance to pharmacy staff, including working shifts in the pharmacy for growth and development opportunities.
- Advocate for and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs that enhance health and wellness.
Requirements
- Physical requirements: Standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly.
- Visual acuity: Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing computer terminals, reading, and inspecting small parts.
Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience.
Skills
Customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
